Deputies in Rockdale County, Georgia, have apprehended a man in connection with the disappearance of a mother of four from Conyers.
Authorities revealed that Donell Anderson, the husband of Imani Roberson, was taken into custody and charged with serious offenses including felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and firearm possession during a crime. Additional charges are under consideration.
While the circumstances of Imani Roberson's demise remain undisclosed, Rockdale County Sheriff's
Office stated that blood was discovered within the couple's residence as well as at undisclosed locations. It was reported that Roberson had visited her mother, Clarine Andujar-White, along with her two children on July 16. After leaving her children with her mother, Roberson departed around 5:30 p.m. Despite several unsuccessful attempts to reach her, Andujar-White became concerned when her daughter didn't return. She subsequently filed a missing person's report on July 17.
From July 17 to July 19, authorities conducted thorough searches of residences, vehicles, and electronic devices. Eventually, on August 4, they located Roberson's body some distance away from a burned car found earlier in the investigation. Cadaver dogs aided in the discovery. A press conference held on August 5 unveiled this new information, attended by Roberson's family, who expressed their distress and gratitude for the support they received.
Roberson's father emotionally shared his acceptance of the tragic outcome, having prepared for it beforehand. The family is cooperating with law enforcement to identify potential additional suspects. They are resolute in holding all involved parties accountable. In an earlier press conference, deputies had abstained from providing specific details about the investigation.
