LAREDO, Texas — In a significant development, border patrol officials in Texas uncovered a group of 20 migrants who were concealed behind plywood inside a portable barn at a checkpoint. The incident took place at the Hebbronville checkpoint within the Laredo Sector, as reported by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
As the pickup truck carrying a portable barn on a flatbed trailer approached the primary inspection lane of the checkpoint, border patrol agents noticed something suspicious. Upon conducting a thorough search, they made the startling discovery of migrants hidden in the barn's ceiling, concealed by plywood.
According to the Laredo Morning Times, the migrants were identified as individuals who had entered the United States illegally from countries such as El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. Following their removal from the trailer, the migrants were transported to the Hebbronville Station for further processing, as confirmed by the CBP.
