Man accused of poisoning his mother to death with fentanyl

In San Jose, California, Bradley Dexter, 40, has been taken into custody following the suspected fentanyl poisoning of his mother, Kathleen Dexter, 72, in June. Police discovered her body in a residence on Utopia

Place on June 6. On July 18, the death was declared a homicide due to intentional fentanyl poisoning by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office.

Bradley has been indicted on charges including homicide, poisoning, and elder abuse. Additionally, he is believed to have violently assaulted his father earlier this month with a metal baton.

Speaking anonymously to KNTV, the father attributes his son’s violent behavior to drug misuse and disagreements over inheritance. The exact reasons behind the poisoning are still under investigation.
