According to reports, a man from Nevada is facing charges of murder and other offenses after allegedly observing his friend kill another acquaintance via a live video stream, while reportedly cheering on the violent actions. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the arrest of Stefan Jakubov on March 15 in connection with the death of Aaron Chavez, whose charred remains were discovered near a highway in Baker, Calif., back in August.
Gino Julian, found near Chavez's body after calling for a tow truck, was arrested by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials and later transferred to LVMPD custody. After an extensive investigation, authorities issued an arrest warrant for Jakubov on March 6, revealing alleged confessions where he admitted to watching Julian assault Chavez on a video feed.
Text messages reportedly show Jakubov encouraging Julian to commit the act, with messages like "Break his face" and "Delete our convos." Jakubov faces charges including open murder, conspiracy to commit battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, robbery, and concealing evidence. Julian has been charged with open murder. As of now, it's unclear if Jakubov or Julian have entered pleas, and neither of their attorneys have responded to requests for comment.
