Jeremy Williams, 40, was sentenced to death on Monday for his conviction in the kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland in Columbus, Georgia, in 2021. He was found guilty of four capital offenses for the rape and murder of the young girl and received the death penalty for each charge.
In addition to the death penalty, Williams was sentenced to life in prison for recording the rape, and sodomy; 10 years for obstructing a corpse; life for human trafficking; and 20 years for conspiring to commit human trafficking.
The charges against Williams include murder of a child under 14, murder during a rape, murder during sodomy, and murder during a kidnapping, as reported by the station. He also admitted to the rape and murder of Kamarie, as well as his 1-month-old daughter in Alaska, a cold case reopened after his confession.
When asked why he confessed, Williams stated he wanted to "make peace with God" before his execution, according to WRBL.
The girl's mother, Kristy Marie Siple, also known as Kristy Hoskins, has been indicted on charges of felony murder and human trafficking after she allegedly offered Kamarie to Williams for $2,500.
Kamarie was reported missing by her mother on December 13, 2021, and her body was found the next day in an abandoned house in east Alabama. The medical examiner confirmed that Kamarie had been sexually
