Three suspects have been arrested by Los Angeles police detectives in connection with a gang-related triple slaying outside a Benedict Canyon home earlier this year. The ambush shooting was carried out by three Chicago gang members and motivated by events in that city, according to Los Angeles Police Captain, Jonathan Tippet. Daries Stanford, 28; Dontae Williams, 22; and Dejean Thompkins, 28, were arrested in Chicago; Gary, Ind.; and New York City, respectively.

They are now awaiting extradition to Los Angeles to face multiple murder charges. The three accused gunmen had flown to Los Angeles shortly before the attack, shot three women and four others, and then left the state. The motive behind the attack is believed to be from activity in Chicago, but no evidence of an altercation has been found. The suspects have also been linked to another Los Angeles slaying that occurred a month before the Benedict Canyon attack.
