On October 27, 2024, a confrontation near the unit block of West Hamburg Street in Federal Hill, Baltimore erupted into a massive exchange of gunfire. 19-year-old Cameran Holt, who police said was not involved in the dispute, was struck while inside a vehicle. She died from her injuries on November 7, 2024.
Baltimore Police later arrested Alexis Cancel-Soto, Devontaye Richardson, and Daeshaun Clark, charging all three in connection with Cameran’s death.
But this was never a simple three-defendant murder case.

The Evidence
Investigators were working with a scene involving dozens of ballistic items, multiple suspected shooters, several surveillance systems, damaged vehicles, witness accounts, and extensive courtroom testimony.
Public trial reporting later described four distinct casing groups tied to the shooting. At the same time, the case developed around evidence that did not always point as cleanly as the original arrests suggested.
The full file reconstructs what investigators believed happened, what the cameras actually captured, and where the physical evidence became harder to interpret.
Three Defendants. Three Separate Courtroom Stories.

All three men entered the case under the shadow of the same fatal shooting.
They did not leave the court system the same way.
Separate trials produced sharply different outcomes, and the gap between those results became one of the most important parts of the case. One prosecution leaned heavily on statements and surveillance. Another turned into a fight over what the footage could actually prove. By the time the final defendant reached court, the original murder theory had fractured into something far more complicated.
Inside the Full Case File
The complete breakdown examines the surveillance network, ballistic scene, four casing groups, courtroom testimony, missing evidence, competing accounts of how the shooting began, the three defendant cases, and the separate legal controversy that emerged while the prosecutions were still unfolding.
At the center of it all remains Cameran Holt: a 19-year-old bystander caught inside a gun battle she had no part in, and a case where more cameras, more casings, and more arrests did not produce one simple answer.
